South of Wilson Ave., between Yonge and Avenue Rd., you'll find the Cricket Club, an established community of landscaped lawns and beautiful homes.

Why is it called Cricket Club? When William Gooderham (owner of Gooderham & Worts Distillery) subdivided his land and created the neighbourhood, he also helped form the Toronto Cricket, Skating and Curling Club for the new residents of the area. First opened in 1925, this landmark remains one of Toronto's most prestigious private clubs to this day.

Cricket Club Homes are in high demand

With excellent schools, beautiful homes, upscale shopping and good proximity to highways and public transit all make this neighbourhood a sought after place to live.

A mix of architectural styles includes everything from small bungalows to larger Tudor and Georgian-style homes, all built in the 1920s, 1930s and 1940s. Most homes have original details intact, including wood trim, French doors, built-in cabinetry and hardwood floors. Lots are generous in size, and every house has a private drive.

Great recreational facilities

In addition to the private Toronto Cricket, Skating and Curling Club, residents have access to the Armour Heights Community Centre, which runs respected programs for both adults and children. There's also the nearby (public) Don Valley Golf Course, located in the scenic Don River Valley.

Cricket Club residents are never far from anything; Lawrence and York Mills subway stations are within walking distance of most homes, and the on-ramp for the 401 is just a few minutes away.
